Astrid joined Crisis Shield in 2011, bringing strong capabilities in evidence-based strategic planning, change management, brand development, evaluation, research and writing. Astrid is a solution-focused practitioner with a keen eye for detail and a methodical, rationalised approach.
Astrid gained a sound understanding of the media industry and news cycle working with the Managing Editors at The Times (News Ltd) in London. She assisted with a large-scale change management project as the organisation adapted to digital publishing demands and the global financial crisis. She has worked in the education and finance sectors and has considerable experience managing hospitality venues and marketing events in London’s leisure industry. At Crisis Shield, her consulting work has focused on the health, education and government clients.
Astrid holds a Bachelor of Arts (University of Ballarat), a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations (RMIT University) and a Master of Communication (RMIT University). Her research and academic work covers crisis and emergency management and crisis communication.
