Matthew Murphy is Chief Operating Officer at Crisis Shield, bringing over two decades of leadership experience across crisis and emergency management, national security, and organisational resilience. Matthew began his career in the Australian Defence Force, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership, operational planning, and risk management. He went on to hold senior roles within both government and private sectors, leading complex programs and building resilience across high-pressure environments.
Throughout his career, Matthew has worked at the intersection of people, process, and preparedness - ensuring that organisations are not only capable of responding to crises but are equipped to adapt and thrive afterwards. His approach balances strategic foresight with practical execution, underpinned by calm decision-making and clear communication.
